La creciente popularidad de Facebook se convierte en peligrosa adicción

Facebook es la RED Social de mayor uso en el mundo, a pesar de que tiene pocos años de existencia, ha llegado a tener cifras de tráfico web que superan las expectativas, incluso por encima del tráfico diario de Google. Facebook nos presenta opciones para compartir con conocidos y desconocidos, información privada de nuestra vida cotidiana, bien puede servir para mantenernos en contacto con amigos o familiares, aunque también se puede convertir en un arma de doble filo, ya que hay muchas personas que suelen revelan datos demasiado personales, y que incluso anuncian cuando salen de vacaciones y dejan sola su casa, ya solo les falta decirles a los ladrones donde guardan las llaves.
Otro aspecto de Facebook es que nos ofrecen una infinidad de juegos Online, estos juegos pueden ser divertidos, pero también son juegos que tienen la capacidad de causar una grave adicción, por ejemplo las personas que se vuelven adictos no pueden salir de casa sin extrañar el jugar o chatear en Facebook, esto los lleva al punto de que incluso cuando van de visita a la casa de un pariente o un amigo, lo primero que hacen es pedir prestada la computadora del dueño de la casa, y lo que hacen es ir directamente a conectarse a Facebook ya sea para jugar o para chatear, aunque parece ridículo que quieran chatear con otras personas vía online estando de visita en una casa ajena en donde se supone que pueden tener una conversación directa, pero lamentablemente la adicción no los hace muy elocuentes en sus decisiones.
Incluso la televisión ya esta asiendo uso de las redes sociales como la de Facebook, en los comerciales ya nos intentan manipular mentalmente, asiendo comentarios relevantes basados en Facebook, por ejemplo el comercial de Movistar México en donde la niña que le dice a su madre que esta triste porque no cree que un amigo de la escuela la acepte como “amiga” en su lista de Facebook, la mama le dice que lo intente, la niña lo hace y al ver que su amigo la acepta en su lista de “amigos” en Facebook, se alegra como si hubiera pedido que fuese su novia. La realidad es que mucha gente toma demasiado enserio las listas de amigos en Facebook, a pesar que hay gente que usa sus cuentas de Facebook para promover un producto o un sitio web, por esto no es necesario Fijarse a quien se acepte como amigos, aunque la diferencia entre quienes usan a Facebook como herramienta de marketing y los que lo usan para chatear y crear amistades, es que estos últimos suelen revelar datos personales los cuales puede ser peligroso que los hagan públicos, y los que solo usan a Facebook como herramienta de marketing, no suelen revelar datos privados que los pongan en riesgo.
Tal vez en un futuro cercano veamos grupos de apoyo tipo Alcohólicos Anónimos, pero para adictos a Facebook.
