El Nintendo 3DS podría ayudar a detectar problemas de la vista

Los oftalmólogos estadunidenses consideran que las propiedades de la consola portátil Nintendo 3DS gracias a sus cualidades 3D podrían ayudar a detectar problemas en las vista de los niños, aunque advirtieron del grave riesgo si se utiliza por menores de 6 años, ya que podría dañar su vista inmadura.
Michael Duenas director adjunto de ciencias de la salud y políticas para la Asociación Optométrica de Norte América dijo que “Los (videojuegos) tridimensionales podrían ser providenciales para identificar a niños menores de seis años que necesitan terapia ocular”
Se espera que la consola portátil Nintendo 3DS ya salga a la venta en EU el 27 de marzo y tendrá un precio de $250USD, la consola cuenta con 2 pantallas igual que la versión anterior de Nintendo DS, pero la versión 3DS muestra imágenes tridimensionales sin necesidad de lentes especiales.
Según los expertos oftalmólogos si un niño no logra ver los efectos 3D en esas consolas portátiles podría significar un indicio de una enfermedad visual como ambliopía, u “ojo perezoso“.
Según los expertos la vista es más fácil de corregir cuando el niño no tiene más de 6 años, pero esto se contrapone con la advertencia de que el Nintendo 3DS pudiera dañar la vista en niños menores de 6 años. A pesar de esto el Nintendo 3DS brinda una oportunidad de detectar estos problemas visuales en los niños y asi poder ayudarlos a corregir su problema visual.

iPad 2 podría detener su producción y escasearse

El iPad 2 podría llegar a escasearse en tiendas, y su producción podría llegar a detenerse, esto es porque la mayoría de los componentes internos son componentes japoneses, por la desgracia que sucedió el pasado viernes con el terremoto de 9 grados Richter muchas empresas han detenido su producción, ya sea por seguridad o simplemente para ayudar a reducir los consumos de energía eléctrica en aquel país.
La empresa de investigación de mercado IHS iSuppli, dijo que cuando menos 5 firmas tecnológicas tienen sus fabricas de componentes en Japón, estas son Toshiba Corp., Elpida Memory Inc., AKM, Asahi Glass Co. y Apple Japan Inc.
Según analistas de IHS iSuppli dijeron que Apple podría remplazar los componentes por los de otros fabricantes como Samsung Electronics Co en Corea del sur, y a Micron Technology Inc, según los analistas lo difícil sería conseguir un sustituto para el cristal de Asahi y las brújulas.
Es de esperarse que otras empresas que fabriquen Tabletc Pcs con componentes japoneses tengan que detener la producción de su producto, y esto ocasione una posible escases de estos productos en general.

Skype 3.01 para iPhone
El popular programa de chateo y de llamadas telefónicas vía VoIP y video llamadas ‘Skype‘, recientemente tuvo una caída en su servicio a nivel mundial, la cual hizo que millones de sus usuarios se quedaran sin servicio de telefonía VoIP y de servicio de chat de texto.
Como compensación por este grave error, Skype les ofreció a sus clientes el uso de 30 minutos de llamada telefónica internacional completamente gratis. Después de este incidente Skype ha tratando de enmendar su error y recientemente han sacado una nueva versión del software de Skype, la Skype 3.0.1, esta versión tiene grandes avances significativos, como por ejemplo permite realizar video llamadas desde teléfonos Smartphone como los iPhone, a televisores con soporte para tecnología de Skype, así lograríamos tener una video llamada en donde veamos al sujeto tras el iPhone en una imagen de video de más de 25 pulgadas (o del tamaño que sea su TV).
Los televisores de Samsung series LED C7000 y C8000 y algunos de Panasonic (“Full-screen video calling”) están equipados con soporte para la tecnología de Skype. Ademas dichos televisores están equipados con Webcams, por lo que quien esté detrás de la pantalla de TV también podrá ser observado por quien este al otro lado del iPhone. Esta tecnología puede quedar perfecta para las juntas de de trabajo, en donde el jefe pueda estar presente en dicha junta de trabajo atraves de un televisor con soporte para video llamada de skype.
La descarga de esta versión de Skype para iPhone ya se encuentra disponible de manera gratuita en la página de App store de Apple.

MM169: New iOS 4.2 Features, Twitter 2.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab
0It’s been another intersting week for Apple and especially the iPad and iPhone (again) as we had the lucky chance to have a sneak peak at iOS 4.2, which is coming to the iPad, the iPhone and the iPod Touch in November. That said, there were definitely some surprises that Steve Jobs didn’t mention, including being able to print wirelessly from your iPhone and iPad with iOS 4.2! And that’s just the beginning. We show you exactly what you will get with this power packed upgrade and if November could only come faster.
